Hop On Vienna app for iPhone and iPad

Hop On Vienna is a new sightseeing experience combining your smartphone with public transportation. The app provides a guided & location-based audio tour through the city center of Vienna and brings you to the most important sights. The great thing is it uses existing public bus lines for that!

- NO ROAMING FEES once the app is installed the app works offline.
- LOCATION BASED you have to be in Vienna and enter Bus 2A to experience the tour
- GPS location services are required and work best if WIFI is turned on

The tour is created by Viennese locals. Besides Viennas top sights like the Vienna state opera, the imperial palace, Hotel Sacher, St Stephans cathedral and many others the authors give you an insight into the city life and provide tips & tricks how they enjoy living in this beautiful city.

Once the tour is started the app will tell you which bus you should get on (for now thats Bus 2A of Wiener Linien start at Schwarzenbergplatz) But thats the only interaction you are gonna be requested. Everything else will be taken care of. You can sit down, relax, listen and enjoy the ride!

The tour takes approximately 40 minutes and can be visited from Monday to Saturday 6 am to 8 pm - depending on the operating hours of Wiener Linien!

Hop On Vienna is available in english and german. You can switch languages within the app.

- Please consider the app does not include a ticket for the bus!
- Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. So we recommend stopping the tour or closing the app completely after you enjoyed the tour experience!
